During review of the revised architectural plan for the above noted project, it was found that the
following information, clarifications or changes are needed. Provide written responses to each
comment and where changes can be found on the plans. Please resubmit to Marie Harrison, Permit
Coordinator.
1.During the original plan review for this project, the design professional of record chose to use
IBC 1025.1 exception 6 for emergency egress from sleeping rooms. This requires a 3068 side
hinged exit door to be provided from the bedroom to the exit balcony (as shown on the original
approved plans). The sliding door how shown is not permitted and must be changed back to a
3068 side hinged exit door, unless the design professional of record determines another
approved method of emergency egress from the sleeping room.
2.Reference door type #2 on the floor plan for both bedrooms.
3.The revised plans must be stamped and signed (one copy wet signed) by the design professional
of record, Chris Covington, P.E.
