During review of the subject submittal it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications will need to be addressed:
1.The proposed retaining wall on the uphill side of the driveway is both within a Critical Area and is 7 feet
in height, each characteristic in itself triggering the requirement for an engineering peer review. The City
notes that the retaining wall verbage within the Geothech’s report is of a generic nature and not
specificically addressed to the planned retaining wall, and does not address the criteria of Edmonds
Community Development Code 23.80.070. Please submit the design and calculations specific to this wall,
stamped by a licensed engineer for peer review. A retaining wall handout is included for your
convenience.
2.The proposed rockeries, while four feet or less in height, nonetheless exist in a Critical Area and the

5.Refer to the sidewalk determination letter. Please include sidewal, curb, gutter, saw cuts, and lane
dimensions from painted center line to curb face on site plan.
6.Include a sidewalk and curb detail on site plan.
7.Include a driveway access detail on the site plan.
