The following are the responses to the permit plan drawing set comments received from Mike
Clugston, Senior Planner at the City of Edmonds. Each revision is shown clouded and
enumerated with a triangle symbol #1 on the drawings, as follows below. Please note that
there are also revisions on the site plan A1.0 sheet with a similar call out that refer to revisions
requested by the Building Division.
1. A landscape cost estimate prepared by Tim Goss Landscape Architect for the portion
of the site landscaping associated with this permit is attached.
2. The two 5-foot-wide planting strips along Highway 99 have been eliminated. This
was a misinterpretation of the architectural drawings by the civil engineer. As shown
on drawings A1.0, C2.00-3 and C2.02-3 the existing sidewalk along the street
frontage has been incorporated into a new wider sidewalk with amenities, per the
Hearing Examiner approved site design.
3. All paths, including cross walks, on site plan A1.0 are shown as 6 feet wide.
4. Lighting fixture locations have been shown for mast and bollard type illumination
along internal pedestrian paths on A1.0. A schedule for all exterior lighting has also
been added. Note that, in addition, a significant amount of illumination will be
provided by concealed downlighting in the overhanging roof soffit as shown on
sheet A2.4.
