noise limits of Chapter 5.30, unless a variance has been granted pursuant to ECC 5.30.120.

Thanks for meeting with us yesterday regarding our permit for the MacGregor Place building
painting project. I have received permission from Beck's Tribute Center (neighbor to the north)
to route alley traffic through their parking lot during the portion of our work in the alley (see
responses in email string below). I have attached our revised traffic plan - sorry for how busy it
is, but I believe it incorporates all of the elements we discussed. The dates provided are ranges,
not necessarily actuals, because the project may go slower or faster than forecasted. I can
communicate changes to the schedule to you, if necessary.

Mr. Carlson:
I stopped by today and talked to a very pleasant woman in your office (I have forgotten her
name) about utilizing the alley immediately south of your building to access the upper portions
of the MacGregor Place property for painting. The plan would be to block off the alley during our
working hours (8am - 4:30pm) for about 3-4 consecutive days, to complete our contracted
painting work at this location. In order for the City of Edmonds to issue us a permit to do this,
they needed me to contact your company for permission to be able to route any traffic coming
west down the alley (Beck Lane) through your parking lot and out onto Alder Street to your
north. We would re -open the alley every evening, and again this duration would be 3-4 days to
complete our scope of work. Currently, our preliminary schedule has us completing this work
starting on Monday, September 16. That is subject to change, but I will communicate any
changes to you immediately, and as much ahead of time as possible.
May we have permission to do this? I will be revising our traffic control plan for submission to
the City of Edmonds, and will forward a copy to you as well, if interested. We will supply all
required signage for detouring traffic, and we will endeavor to complete the work as
expeditiously as possible, to minimize impact to you.

further, I will be happy to do so.
