RE:Plan review of trash enclosure and access
BLD20180503 – Kids Foundation Academy, 21827 76th Ave. W, Edmonds
Since my first review it has been indicated that I was incorrect on the location of the proposed trash enclosure. Now I realize that the structure is on the south side of the lower
building portion with the opening facing east. Roll-out container service would still be the same here.
The minimum requirement for inside finished dimensions needs to be shown at 12’ wide by 10’ deep. This may require digging further north into the existing slope or adjusting that footprint
some other way in that location. There are to be no return walls at the front of the structure – the full 12’ width must be clear.
One favorable option is that although the proposed 30’ pull-in access is helpful, it is still not adequate for the size of the front-load trucks used here. Therefore this feature is
not necessaryfor service since the trucks can stop and roll in/out at this location from the street itself, just needing the wide apron approach (on grade) as already indicated. The
elimination of the long curbed pull-in may help with adjusting to the minimum enclosure size.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
