Project Address: 7414 181"Place SW
During re -review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following
information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the
changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1. Previous item 3c: The attachment of the ledger to the existing upper floor cantilever rim joist is
considered non -conventional construction. As previously requested, provide structural
calculations stamped and signed by a State licensed Professional Engineer.
2. Previous item 3d: There appears to be no existing rim joist, only blocking between joists at the
sides of the house. As previously requested, provide a detail showing the connection of the
ledger at these locations.
3. Previous item 4: Bracing will be required. As previously requested, provide details stamped
and signed by a State licensed Professional Engineer.
4. Previous item 6: The deck beams at the north portion of the deck are overspanned. As
previously requested, provide beam calculations, stamped and signed by a State licensed
Professional Engineer.
5. Previous item 10: Note the size and spacing of the stair stringers.
6. Previous item 12: Stair riser opening (opening between treads) cannot exceed 4". Clarify stair
detail.
7. Previous item 13: Stair handrail must extend the full length of the stairway. Revise West
Elevation.
8. Previous item 15: The dimension of the opening from the deck surface to the bottom of the
guardrail cannot exceed 4". Plans show 6". Please revise.
9. Previous item 16: Provide manufacturer's installation instructions and loading information for
the guardrail.
10. Note the size, species, and span of the "new girder beam @ front overhang". Provide beam
calculation stamped and signed by a State licensed Professional Engineer.
