KUPCplumbingpump.pdf4 OF EDAf O Est. 1890 City of Edmonds PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS BUILDING DIVISION (425) 771-0220 DATE: June 18, 2008 TO: James Paik 6519 Delridge Way SW Seattle, WA 98106 FROM: Ann Bullis, Assistant Building Official RE: Plan Check: 2008-0466 Project: KUPC Plumbing Project Address: 8505 240'h Street SW During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please submit revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Senior Permit Coordinator. 1. Show and explain why the sinks cannot meet (or be relocated to meet) conventional plumbing without a sewage pump. The original plumbing plans show existing waste lines very close to the proposed sinks. 2. Provide the following: a. Complete isometric for this portion of the plumbing system. b. Clearly show what specific fixtures will flow into the sewage pump. c. Provide fixture unit calcs to show that the existing plumbing system can accommodate the maximum outflow from the pump. d. Show that the vents for the pump and sinks will vent through the roof and justify sizing if other fixtures are on the vent. e. Note the slope of the waste and vent lines. f. A dual pump is required, and must have an audio and visual alarm that signals failure or overload (UPC 710.9). Clearly show these requirements on the plans.
