During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Provide written responses to each comment and where
changes can be found on the plans. Please resubmit to Marie Harrison, Permit Coordinator.
1.On site plan and deck section, clarify location of existing and new retaining walls.
2.Provide dimensioned construction detail for south 8 concrete retaining wall, including rebar
size and spacing, maximum height, concrete strength, etc. Coordinate architectural plan/notes
with structural plan/notes.
3.Specify minimum distance of piles from each end of retaining wall footing.
4.Specify/detail connection of piles to footings. If field welding will be required, note weld
requirements on the plans (also special inspection will be required).
5.Omit/cross out planter and steps area on A2.0 framing plan, since this appears to no longer be
part of the project.
6.Cross reference structural details on the framing/foundation plan.
7.Special Inspections are required for the following:
a.Pile driving and pile cap installation
b.Field welding (if applicable in #2 above)
Complete the enclosed Special Inspection Agreement. Have the owner, general
contractor and special inspector sign the form and return for City approval prior to
permit issuance.
