Dear Mr. Landsverk,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. The following
information is needed to complete review of your application:
1.Height Calculations.
a.Add a datum point to the site plan. It must be a permanent of reference such as a
manhole cover or a survey monument in the centerline of the road.
b.Expand the height rectangle to include the proposed additions.
c.After doing so, revise the height calculations.
d.Then label the elevation views average grade, actual elevation, and maximum
elevation.
2.Grading Plan. A grading plan must be included with the application. If you have
questions on whats required, please contact Marie Harrison, Senior Permit Coordinator
at 425.771.0220 ext 1389.
3.Reduced Site Plan. Please submit one reduced site plan 11 x 17 or smaller.
4.Geotechnical Report. The buffer from the top of the slope may be reduced from 50 feet,
to 10 feet (+ a 15-foot building setback). Please submit a report from a geotechnical
engineer stating that he/she has reviewed the proposal and there will be no additional
potential risk resulting from reducing the buffer to x feet. Refer to Edmonds Community
Development Code 23.80.070A1b. Submit 3 copies.
You may red-line the existing plans or submit 3 copies of the site plan and 2 copies of the
elevation views. Please make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator,
Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to noon or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you have any questions, feel
