Federal Way, WA 98003 FROM: Pat Lawler RE: Plan Check: BLD20090040 Project: 2009-R001, Wall Residence Project Address: 1250 Coronado Pl. S During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. 1.Provide full lateral and gravity engineering calculations and full sized sheets for the project. As part of the engineering, be sure to specifically address the following, although these may change as part of the required engineering: a.Post requirements at HUSC614 hanger at wall, and the adequacy of the existing foundation for the additional point loads. b.Detail 1/A 5-0 does not specify the length of the Titan screws. c.New porch connection details. d.Calculate additional dead load of the new roof on existing structure and any required alterations. e.Justify the lateral connection of the new roof trusses to the top of the structure. f.Sheet A-5.0, note #2, under Specifications/Timber, states that all lumber to be #2 HemFir. Sheet A-2.0 calls out 6x6, and 4x4 PTDF. Identify on the plans which is to be used. PTDF would be a special order item, and more difficult to obtain. The grade must be specified if that is what is required. g.Existing headers to be evaluated for the additional loads. 2.The (2) 2” ventilation holes are required at the eave end and ridge end of each rafter bay both side of roof. Show this on the plans. Pat Lawler Plans Examiner 425 771 0220 x 1703
