During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please submit revised plans/documents to a Permit
Coordinator.
1.Provide existing floor plan of entire floor that work will take place on, and show stairways to
other parts of the house for reference. Label all uses of rooms and show all fixtures/appliances.
2.Revise proposed floor plans to show entire floor that work will take place on, including
stairways, show all fixtures/appliances.
3.Show which laundry room wall was reconstructed. Note the stud size, spacing, and thickness of
sheetrock on each side (also note at extended wall).
4.Fireplace:
a.Clarify if the entire masonry wood burning fireplace was totally removed or altered.
If removed show how floor framing and roof framing was infilled. If altered, provide
details showing what was or will be done.
b.Provide a detail of the fireplace housing that was framed.
c.Provide manufacturerÂ’s installation instructions for the fireplace and maintain
clearances as shown in the instructions.
5.Plumbing:
a.Water hammer devices are required at the dishwasher, clothes washer, and
refrigerator.
b.If the water pressure to your house is more than 80 psi, a Pressure Reduction Valve is
required just after the shutoff on the main water line where it enters the house.
c.An airgap is required at the dishwasher.
d.The hose bibb must have an atmospheric vacuum breaker for backflow protection.
6.Add the kitchen exhaust hood on the plans and note the cfm (100 cfm minimum).
7.Add to the bath/laundry exhaust fan on the plans and note the cfm (50 cfm minimum).
8.Clearly show where insulation will be upgraded, and note the R-value on the plans.
9.Note the sheetrock thickness of all new sheetrock.
An electrical permit will be required from State Labor and Industries.
