Re; File No. P--63
Dear Mrs. Smith.
This is to advise you that the Edmonds Planning Commission, at
their regular meeting of September 1.6, 1963, approved as amended
the final plat of the Edgar L. Blake Addition. The amendments
are that the right-of-way will bend to the north onto lots 2t 30
and 4 to provide the same width access around four trees. The
plat will be further amended by eliminating the turn -around at the
westerly egad, and in lieu thereof, there will be given by the
owner of Lot 6 an easement for a turn -around, subject to the
condition that at such time as the street is continued to 'the
west, the turn -around easement will automatically he revoked.
1 know you were at the meeting, but this setter is your official
notice.
Yours very truly,
(Mrs.) Jean Thompson
Secretary, Planning Commission

Dear Mr. Holte and Planning Commission members:
1Aight the plat subLfitted as "Smith Addition" under file
number 2241-A be called Edgar L. Blake .Addition?
And, might the public road on the plat's south border
be called Edgar Blake Place, Edgar Blake Way, Edgar
Blake Lane or by some such designation bearing the name
of Edgar Blake?
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar L. Blake were my father and mother.
They bought this property in 1919 and loved every::.inch`
of it. Older Edmonds citizen knew them well as they were
good neighbors and well loved. fly father was quits: a well
known landscape artist. I would like to honor him, and
through him, my mother by name this road for ham.
,And, now, one Last request: he and I planted the.four panes
growing practically on the south boundary line. Neighbors
join re in hoping that these four pines may remain. In the
event that in some far off day they should be in the center
of a public street, it would not be too difficult to re-
move there at this time. In the intervening years, they con-
tribute much to the beauty of the scene.
Thank you for your consideration,
Mable Blake Smith

be considered satisfactory by the City Health Dep't.,
provided the installations conform to the Snohomish County

Avenue West, be dedicated to the City of Edmonds as provided.in the
preliminary plat. This street to be paved to a width of 16 feet.
