I have reviewed the above building permit application and resubmittals for the Planning Division. Before
I can sign off on it I still need the following:
1.Critical Areas: Dennis Bruce, P.E., has written a Geotechnical Evaluation, dated March 29, 2005.
a.State how you plan to seed all permanently exposed slopes with an appropriate species of
vegetation, as required on page 6 of the report.
2.Missing Plans?: In looking for the vegetation notes, I found reference on the site plan to sheets that I
cannot find in the packet, including sheet E1.1 (silt fence), sheet E1.2 (temporary construction
entrance) and sheet E1.3 (catch basin protection).
a.Please submit three copies each of sheets E1.1, E1.2 and E1.3.
3.Height Calculations: Your height calculations on the site plan look good. The average grade is given
as 311.5 and the ridge height as 336.25. Unfortunately, one of the building elevations does not give
any heights, and the other gives an average grade of 312.5 and a ridge height of 337.25, which is over
height.
a.On both sets of building elevations please show:
(i) the average grade of 311.5;
(ii)the maximum height allowed of 336.5; and
(iii)the actual ridge height, which cannot be higher than
336.5 without a variance being approved.

Please make all submittals to the Development Services Permit Coordinator, and provide two copies of
any revised plans or elevations and three copies of any site plans. Your existing plans and elevations may
also be red-lined.
