Mr. Echelbarger:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can
sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified:
1. Height Calculations: Please verify the elevations used in the height calculation
determination. There are two different sets of numbers for the corner elevations on the
site plan: those on the site plan drawing itself adjacent to the identified corners and the
set of numbers listed at the bottom of the plan.
2. Accessory Dwelling Unit Statement: Please submit a signed and notarized Accessory
Dwelling Unit Statement. While it appears that the second floor recreation room and
wet bar are not intended to be used as an accessory dwelling unit at this time, recording
such a statement puts future homeowners on notice that converting the space to an
accessory dwelling unit requires a permit with the City as described in Chapter 20.21 of
the Edmonds Community Development Code.
Please make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through
Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, except on Wednesdays when we are closed for permit review. If
