18. Stormwater Utility comments:
a. June 17, 2013 — All impervious surface areas created with this development shall be
accounted for with the design of the stormwater management systems. The
response letter states the systems are sized to accept flows from both new driveway
surfaces. Please provide/address the following:
i. The stormwater infiltration systems shall be sized to account for all
impervious area created with the subject development. We recognize that
collection of all areas may not be possible, but regardless the systems shall
be designed to account for the total area.
ii. With the design of each system clearly note contributing areas.
iii. Please provide Associated Earth Sciences Report and grain size analysis.
March 7, 2013 — The proposed infiltration system appears to only have been designed
for the impervious surface area proposed to be created with the new house. A
stormwater management system(s) will need to be designed for all new and/or replaced
impervious surface area created with the subdivision in a manner that shows compliance
with Edmonds Community Development Code Chapter 18.30. The impervious surface
area calculation shall include driveways, new sidewalk, road widening, home, etc.
Please confirm the amount of impervious surface area to be created and/or replaced
with the associated short plat development and design a stormwater management
system(s) accordingly.

11/7/2012 comment — Collection of runoff from all new impervious surfaces is required
as the total for the project will exceed 2000sf. If 2000sf of impervious will not be
created during this phase of the project then installation of a storm system would not be
required at this time. However, provisions need to be in place for collection and
management of the stormwater at the time of building permit.

c. June 24, 2013 — I still had trouble locating this information, but did end up finding
it on Sheet 2. Would it be possible to locate this information on the utility sheet? If
not, please add a note to Sheet 3 that references sheet 2 for this information.
March 7, 2013 Please revise plans to callout storm structures and associated RIM and
invert elevations. This includes all proposed systems as well as the SDMH that the
proposed system will connect to. I apologize my original comment was not clearly
written to include this request for information.
11/7/2012 comment — Please revise callouts, etc.
