Dr. Wolf,
Thank you for the phone call this week regarding your plumbing permit. As you know, the permit (BLD2018-0155) issued in February of 2018 has expired and a new permit will be needed to
complete the work and obtain City final approval. Please make application at the Permit Center for the new permit at your earliest convenience. This may be done either by you or your
plumber. Along with your application please include any current documentation regarding certification of the existing medical gas system, including the credentials of the certifying
agency, and any inspection reports or system certifications obtained to date. We will be able to utilize the same set of plumbing plans that has been approved for the expired permit.
The fee to obtain the permit will be approximately $1100 which includes a minimal fee for the new permit combined with a balance of $972 outstanding on the expired permit.
Inspections will be assigned to the new permit for the following:
· Med Gas 24 hour pressure test (This may be waived if certifying agency satisfactorily addresses it.)
· Med Gas 3rd Party Certification verification
· Cross Connection Final (B)
· Plumbing Final
One condition that will carry over from the previous permit is to “Obtain re-certification of the medical gas system from a certified agency. The scope of the re-certification shall
meet the provisions of UPC 1320 and shall be approved by the building official prior to execution.”
Once you have your permit in hand, we can work with you to get inspections taken care of as expeditiously as possible.
