Episcopal Church
The Rector and Vestry members of St. Alban's Episcopal Church are applying for a Joint Use
Permit for our Parking Lot. We are making this application in order to sublet our Sunday School
building to West Edmonds Cooperative Preschool, as described in CUP PLN20190001
(enclosed).
The schedule of operations for West Edmonds Preschool is based on the calendar year of the
Edmonds School District beginning the first week of September each year through mid -June.
The Church uses the facilities primarily on Sunday for worship service, but there are also
intermittent office times during the week and periodic community use at night. The times and
numbers of people generally using our facilities are listed in the attached joint use schedule.
As noted in the approved CUP, under FINDINGS OF FACT, paragraph 3.C, the preschool is
required to have 16 parking spaces meeting the requirements of City of Edmonds engineering
standards and applicable ADA codes. As a condition of the CUP, St. Albans intends to upgrade
the pavement markings in the parking lot to meet current parking standards, and a total of 28
parking spaces will be provided. See attached site plan for proposed layout.
