I spoke with Kernen yesterday and he is familiar with the BLA that the church is doing and that through the process the existing white house will be demolished. The white house has been
used as a shop and we are now wanting to establish a new work space.
The attached picture with notes and site plan should help identify what we are looking to do. Our hope is to build this structure using standard means and methods (prescriptive approach),
so that we can avoid design/engineering costs and only engage in that area where absolutely necessary.
As far as questions go:
Will engineering be required on this project, or will standard means and methods be accepted (another words can we create the drawings)?
Given that this will be shop space, will a fire barrier similar to what is required with a garage need to be built where this ties into the existing structure?
If using up the two or three parking spaces for this structure puts us under what is required can we establish the same number of parking places elsewhere to bring us back into compliance?
