A preliminary review was done with the conditional use materials provided and we have the following
comments.
1.Structures built within 3 feet of a property line require specific fire-resistive construction as per
the International Residential Code; therefore, the barn as shown on the site plan being less than 3
feet from the property line will require a building permit. In general, a building permit would not
be required where the barn does not exceed 200 square feet, is not within 3 feet of a property line
and is not attached to the house.
