Provide written responses to each comment and where changes can be found on the plans. Please resubmit to Marie Harrison, Permit Coordinator. 1.Note the following codes on the coversheet of the plans. a.2006 International Building Code (including Accessibility) with State Amendments b.2006 International Mechanical Code (including International Fuel Gas Code) with State Amendments c.2006 International Fire Code with State Amendments d.2006 Uniform Plumbing Code with State Amendments e.2006 Washington State Energy Code (WAC 51-11) f.2006 Washington State Ventilation Indoor Air Quality Code (WAC 51-13) g.Edmonds Community Development Code 2.The revised structural calculations (dated 2/7/08), submitted as part of the revision to permit 2007-0382, show the south wall of the restrooms and janitor room as a required shearwall. The tenant improvement plans show a portion of this wall removed. Provide revised structural calculations (stamped and signed) to justify or redesign to include the full shearwall. 3.A portion of the corridor wall that has been moved as part of this TI is also a shearwall per the revised calcs noted in item #2 above. Provide revised structural calculations (stamped and signed) to justify or redesign to include the shearwall as currently approved. 4.New restroom must be accessible per IBC 1109.2 unless an exception to that code section is used. The floor plan notes “1106.11.5.1 Exc.”, however we are unable to find this code section. Please revise plans accordingly. 5.Revise “corridor” label to hallway where you do not intend the corridor to be 1-hour rated. 6.Provide detail of accessible door hardware for pocket doors. Door hardware cannot limit minimum 32” clear opening requirement (ICC/ANSI A117.1 section 404.2.2) and you are only calling out a 34” door. 7.Dimension maneuvering clearances at the following doors per ICC/ANSI A117.1 section 404.2.3: 208D, 207D, 206D, 205D, 204D. 8.What type of lab work will be done in this suite? What type of equipment will be used? Provide hazardous materials list (type and quantity). 9.Add the following to the Separate Permits list on the coversheet: Fire Sprinkler Alterations, Fire Alarm Alterations, remove note “(currently under review with shell/core permit)” as it does not apply to the TI permit. 10.Remove deferred submittals list from the coversheet as everything will be included under the separate permits list. 11.A special inspection for welding is noted on the coversheet. What welding will be done as part of this tenant improvement permit? 12.Clearly show the extent of each suite and label with suite number. Please provide the name of the business that will be occupying suite D. Does suite D include Office 215F and Break room 214E? If not, provide name of business(s) that will be occupying these suites. If Break room nd 214E is a common area for all tenants on the 2 floor, note as such on the floor plan. 13.Lighting Summary forms submitted were not filled out. Please resubmit. Page 2 of 2
