Hi Lucas,
It appears if I'm looking at this correctly that the wall is being pushed back; on paper it looks doable but we won't know
100% until it's built and done; you have a minimal space and we will do our best just remember that the entrance/exit
will more than likely be blocked during the time of service and assistance with the containers will more than likely be
needed on service day.
So with the above typed and if I'm looking at it correctly go ahead.
Thank You,
Courtney

Hi Courtney,
Following up on the plan for 23400 Highway 99.
Do you see any revisions required for the layout or can we receive preliminary approval to move forward with our
design?
Thanks,
Lucas Branham

All,
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to review the 23400 Highway 99 Project this morning.
We discussed the options with our client, the preference is to revise the existing layout to provide additional
maneuvering clearance for the trucks. The garage ingress/egress delays were deemed less of an issue compared to
building and parking redesign.
Our team will provide a plan sketch of a revised layout based on the information we received today for preliminary
approval ASAP.
Thank you,
Lucas Branham

Hi Lucas,
Our office is right down the street from the property; why don't we meet here and begin to discuss and then if we need
to go to the site it's right down the street.
We're available on Thursday between 8am —10am. Does that work for you?
Thank You,
Courtney

All,
Following up on the request below. Perhaps it would be best to schedule a conference call or meeting to discuss how
we can make this scenario work.
I am available much of this week and would be happy to setup a gotomeeting or meet in person.
Please let me know what works best.
Regards,
Lucas Branham

Hi Steve,
I'm adding Courtney and John to this email string. We are very much looking forward to getting approval at the pull -in
staging area as generally currently shown.
Hi Courtney and John,
Prior to our team delving into revisions to alter the steepness of the grade or reduce the transition/skew of the
driveway, we would like to have some design parameters defined. These are listed below.
What dimension is required between the front of loading truck and adjacent wall in order to provide clearance
and maneuverability of containers?
What are the grading requirements to allow the loading truck forks to pick-up containers? Are there specific
width/grading transitions requirements?
Is the turning radius as currently shown approved?
If you could provide responses to these questions or links to the trash truck specifications, our team can then work to
provide a scenario which allows for the best solution with the limited site area available.
Best,
Lucas Branham

Importance: High
Hi Lucas,
I also left you a long voice mail today (sorry). The managers at Republic Services are pretty much looking at the pull -in
toward the container staging area as the option to pursue. They are trying to figure how their trucks would maneuver
and expect that some tilting/angling of the truck's body and/or cab/forks is a big part of what to consider when the trucks
are actually safely lifting. They have asked their Seattle counterparts to help weigh in with some schematics or directions
since they deal with more sloped sites and weird grades.
In the meantime they are going to go experiment tomorrow with their truck to see if they can replicate the likely
collection scenario and hopefully learn something. I asked them, and they agreed, that perhaps contacting them and
speaking directly about the grading, distances, etc., may get things further along for you (and them).
Here are the main contacts: Courtney Crouch and John Parr - ccrouchftrepublicservices.com and

Hi Steve,
We received the Design Review comments regarding refuse truck access last week and had some clarifying questions
while developing an alternative workable solution. In the December 5, 2018 ADR Packet the proposed grade changes at
the pickup location transitioned from 14% to 1% at the container storage area. This layout also included additional
space in front of the truck to allow for trash container pick-up.
As this second attempt at resolving the truck access was not approved in the most recent comments, we would like to
receive more specific information about what is required to receive approval of layout.
Our goal is to create an exhibit once we have the parameters above defined that we can send for preliminary
approval. If there is anyone else who needs to be looped in on this conversation please add them in your response.
We appreciate your help in getting us information needed to resolve the trash pick-up area and finalize our design for
the next ADR submittal.
