1. Resolved — Project valuation has been updated in response letter to the earlier plan
review comments.
On sheet AS1.0 — Site Plan:
2. Detail 1 Site Plan — Clarify on the plans the represented width of the accessible parking
space. It and the referenced detail on the same sheet — Accessible parking stall layout —
do not appear to meet the requirement for a van parking space per IBC 1106.5/ICC
A117.1 — 2009 502.2.
Site plan revised to show van accessible parking stall. Detail 2/AS1.0 modified to
show van accessible parking stall. Added detail 4 showing van accessible parking
sign.
On sheet G1.0 — Cover Sheet,
3. Project Data
a. Major Applicable Codes — Change on the plans the code versions to reflect
those currently adopted by the Washington State Building Code Council.
Major applicable codes list updated.
b. Occupancy Type (Chapter 3) — Change on the plans the occupancy type to
reflect that applicable to a structure used for the display and sale of
merchandise.
Occupancy type updated to M occupancy.

c. Scope of Work — Indicate on the plans the proposed work requiring review for
compliance with applicable codes.
Scope of Work updated to read: "TENANT IMPROVEMENT WORK TO
INCLUDE NEW NON-BEARING INTERIOR WALLS, NEW LIGHTING AND
UPDATING THE RESTROOM TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
OF THE ADA."
d. Occupant Loads —(Table 1004.1.1)
i. Change on the plans the table reference to reflect that found in the
currently adopted building code (2015 International Building
Code).
Occupant Load Table reference revised to read: "TABLE
1004.1.2".
Clarify on the plans the indicated areas of the 'Mercantile' and
'Office' spaces. They do not appear to reflect that determined by
'scaling' or by other review methods — see attached 'occupant
load'. Update the indicated occupant loads as required.
Occupant load calculations updated. The occupant load for
the space is 25. This has been revised on sheet G1.0 as well
as sheet A1.0.
4. Deferred Submittals — Indicate on the plans the required submittal under separate permit
application and proposed/required mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing work
associated with the work completed under this permit application.
Deferred Submittals has been removed from sheet G1.0.
On Sheet A1.0 — Floor Plan:

a. Change on the plans the indicated occupant loads for each of the spaces to reflect
that determined in response to plan review comment'3.d.ii'.
Occupant load calculations updated. The occupant load for the space is 25. This
has been revised on sheet A1.0 for the individual spaces.
b. Indicate on the plans and built-in furnishings, shelving, or racks that may be installed
in space '101' — Reception — and space '103' — Storage — to guide proper installation
and for review and inspections of the means of egress and accessibility provisions in
those spaces.
Sheet A1.0 — Add Note "NO SHELVING OR STORAGE RACKS OVER 6FT TALL
ALLOWED UNLESS SEISMICALLY ANCHORED."
- The owner has indicated that there will be no storage shelving over 6ft
tall.

On the provided Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) Compliance Forms for Commercial
Buildings:
6. Provide as part of a complete submittal the `Interior Display Lighting — Space -By -Space -
LTG -INT -SPACE' checklist for the proposed `Lobby Art/Exhibit Display Lighting'
installation. It could not be found among the other provided WSEC checklists. The
proposed fixtures must be represented on the plans to guide proper review, installation
and inspection.
Updated WSEC Lighting Compliance checklist — attached.
Sheet A2.0 — Updated LTG -INT -SPACE worksheet to show revised square
footages and Retail Display Allowance from LTG -INT -DISPLAY.
- SHEET A1.0 — Updated keynote 1.0 to read, "24"Wx24"H BUILT-IN
