response to bldg comments 1.pdfB1d9 `vn-/- 1- 111 January 15, 2018 City of Edmonds 12151h Ave N Edmonds, WA 98020 Attn: Chuck Miller RESUB JAN 16 2016 BUILDING DEPARTMENT CITY OF EDMONDS RE: Bracket Apartment Clubhouse alterations BLD2017-1582 MIIBRANUT AR(HITE(TS The following are our responses to the plan review comments dated December 281h, 2017. Item 1. This information has been added to sheet S1. Item 2. List of drawings corrected on Sheet Sl. Item 3. Something happened with the scaling at the printer but it has been corrected on the resubmittal. Item 4a. As indicated in my previous email the door and wall being removed is between the spa and pool and will remain in a secured area and will not need Health Department Review. The new openings are proposed to be supported by a new post and beam system (as revised per comment # 36.) The new post and beam system is sufficient to maintain the structural integrity of this portion of the building. The supplemental structural calculations demonstrate a complete gravity load path at this location. Item 4b. The windows added to the business center are new windows where there was none before. The style of the new windows is to match the style of the existing windows. Note revised on Al. Item 4c. Even though the use of the rooms have switched around a bit in the building the primary function of the clubhouse has not changed. The lower level has access to both the restrooms and drinking fountain. The upper level went from one type of office to a different type so again the primary function stayed as is. Item 4d. There is an existing drinking fountain on the ground floor which is now noted on the plans. Because the primary function of the building has stayed the same we are hoping the existing DF can remain. Item 5a. The existing and proposed spaces have been labeled on sheets Al and A2. Item 5b. Spacing has been revised on sheet A2. Item 6. An architectural stamp has been placed on both the A sheets and ID sheets and a structural engineer stamp on the S sheets. Item 7. All plan sheets have been coordinated together and the correct spaces represented. Item 8. All plan sheets have been coordinated together and the correct spaces represented. Item 9a.
