Response to BLDG Comments 1.pdfCity of Edmonds Development Services Department 1215 TH Ave N. Edmonds, WA 98020 Attn: Chuck Miller Plans Examiner Re: Response to Plan Check: BLDG. 2014-0914 Project: GW Auto Rebuild Addition - Remodel Project Address: 23510 Hwy 99, Edmonds Sir, I shall answer your corrections in order as received: 1. Mechanical: March 11, 2015 1a. Yes there are (2) each Heaters for this Project. (1) is a 58k BTU Gas Unit Heater that will be placed in the New Addition just West of the center line on the North Wall (Supplied by Customer), and (1) ETL Listed GFS Roof integrated Space Saver Heat System located on the top side of the CTOF Booth Cabin, located at the Southeast corner inside the Existing Paint Shop. 1b. There is no Boiler on this Permit. I wrote down "Boiler" on the wrong line instead of "Other": I have filled out another Form E - Page 2 and supplied a copy with this response letter. (See Attached) 2. Fuel Gas: 2a. I thought I was doubling up a little confused on the form. I have filled out another Form E - Page 2 and have it attached. 2b. There is no Boiler associated with this Project. I had written my CTOF Heater on "Boiler" line instead of the "Other" line. Therefore, since No Boiler exists, we do not need to apply for a separate permit for the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries for the installation of a Commercial Boiler. 3. "Proposed Shop LaVout" 3a. Table of Areas has been added to Page A-1. The Total Area of the Structure is 6577.51 Sq. Ft. The Total Aggregate Area of the Booths cannot exceed 10% of the Total Area of the Structure or 1500 Sq. Ft. Area of Structure is 6577.51 Sq. Ft. x .10% = 657.751 Sq. Ft. The Aggregate Area of the Booths = 655.579 Sq. Ft. 655.579 < (is less than) 657.751 therefore the 2 Booths are Allowed 3b. The Mixing Room is a listed Room designed to be attached to the Double Skin walls of the Paint Booths - See Listing info provided. The Booth and CTOF Walls are Designed to have all Services RE: Lights to be Serviced and Maintained from the Inside of all Equipment therefore there will be no need to maintain a 3 Ft. Separation. 3c. I have also provided a "Wall Roof' detail per your instructions, see Page A-3 (New Page to Plan Set). 3d. The ARRC 2100 Heater is located on Several pages, Please Note: The Heater is part of the CTOF Cabin Ceiling Assembly. Here are a few of the Locations it can be found on the Drawings & Spec Books: 1. On Page A-1 Proposed Shop Layout on the Roof of the CTOF 2. Page A-2 Section A/A and Existing West Elevation, the Heater is shown on the Roof of the CTOF 3.
