6. Light Fixture Schedule — Note 3 — Indicate on the plans the required occupancy sensor controls per
WSEC C405.2.1 for the lighting in the following spaces:
• Utility
• Bath

On Sheet A2.0, under "Light Fixture Schedule", Note #2 has been modified to read as follows: "MANUAL LIGHT
SWITCHING, U.O.N. INSTALL OCCUPANCY SENSOR CONTROLS PER WSEC C405,2.1 FOR THE LIGHTING IN
UTILITY, BATH & DRYERS ACCESS."
On the provided 2015 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) 'Compliance Forms for Commercial Buildings
including R2, R3, R4 over 3 stories and all R1' worksheets:
7. On the'Interior Lighting — Building Area Method — LTG-INT-BLD — worksheet
a. Clarify the use of the 'Building Area Method' for the proposed lighting installation. For lighting
alterations where less than 50% are being replaced, the 'Space -By -Space Method' is to be
used - see page 3 of these comments. PER

b. In the'Maximum Allowed Lighting Wattage' portion of the form —Clarify the indicated
'Allowed Watts per ft2, for the 'Laundromat' area. It does not appear to correspond with that
found in the current version of the WSEC.
Provide in response to the above plan review comment a completed 'Interior Lighting —
Space -By -Space Method'— LTG-INT-SPACE — (preferably the'Revised Nov 2017 version found
here ). Since the 'total proposed watts' of the proposed lighting installation is prohibited from
exceeding the 'allowed watts' of the existing installation, 'existing' fixtures must be
removed/reduced in wattage to accommodate the added 'Type C' light fixtures — see page 4 of
these comments. The resulting lighting plan can then be represented on sheet'A2.0' - Plan'1' —
Partial Main Floor Reflected Ceiling Plan.
"Interior Lighting — Space -By -Space Method" — LTG -IN -SPACE worksheet, "Revised Nov 2017 version" is used.
See attached worksheets. Type B and Type C existing fluorescent fixtures are being replaced with new LED
lighting to meet "Maximum Allowed Lighting Wattage", which has also been modified. See LIGHT FIXTURE
SCHEDULE on Sheet A2.0 and attached worksheets.
