On sheet FS -1— Equipment Plan:
1. Equipment Schedule 1- Indicate on the plans the required installation of Type II hoods
above the following appliances that produce heat or moisture per International Mechanical
Code (IMC) 507.2.2:
Mark 110'— Cabinet Heater/Proofer
. Mark'14' — Electric 3 Pan Steam Table
An HVAC system design that incorporates the heat and moisture loads from the
appliances or a separate removal system are acceptable alternatives that must be
noted on the plans. Spaces containing cooking appliances without Type II hoods
shall be provided with exhaust at a rate of 0.70 CFM per square foot. The response
to the plan review comment states: "Revised. Exhaust at a rate of 0.70 CFM
added.". The proposed exhaust rate does not meet the requirements of IMC 507.2.2.
As noted in the earlier plan review, the spaces containing cooking appliances without
Type II hoods shall be provided with exhaust at a rate of 0.70 CFM per square foot.
Mark'10' — Cabinet Heater/ /roofer.
32.25"Wx 22"D = 709.5 sq.in= 4.93 sq.ft.
.93 sq.ft. x 0.7 CFM = 3.45 CFM.
Revised note added on Ian: Exhaust vent at 35 CFM minimum
• Mark `14' — Electric 3 Pan Steam Table,
4.25"W x 22.5"D = 995.63 sq.in =6.9sq.
V9 sq,ft. x 0.7 CFM = 4.84 CFM
Revised note added on lan: Exhaust vent at 35 CFM minimum

"PLEASE BE ADVISED: PLUMBING PERMIT WILL BE OBTAINED BY THE
PLUMBER". The 'General Notes' on sheet 'A-0' —Cover Page -the plumbing
supply/drain/waste/vent information on sheet 'FS -2 — Plumbing - and the line drawing
representing the proposed plumbing supply/drain/waste/vent system on sheet 'FS-2.1—
appear to include and represent a proposed plumbing installation. References to a plumbing
installation should be eliminated from the scope of work and provided construction
documents if the work is to be completed under a separate permit, or be identified as
'Reference Only'. Even if identified as 'Reference Only', the plans must represent the
proposed work consistently with that under the separate permit.

osed installation of the fixtures required to drain to the grease
3. Clarify on the plan the prop
traps, and of the grease traps. Fixtures indirectly draining to floor sinks would require that
the grease trap be installed lower than the floor sink to maintain the minimum required
slope. In typical installations where the grease trap is placed on the floor, the fixtures drain
into the grease trap, which then indirectly drains to a floor sink.
