Re: Permit #BLD20170496 —1015 12th Ave N
We have received the comments provided on November 3, 2017, and have revised the plans accordingly.
Please see our responses to the review comments below.
Comment 1: Velocity of stormwater flows are a concern, please verify that the 20 ft spacing for the check
dams will be adequate where slopes are 30% or greater. Additional check dams may need to be placed at
10 ft on center within the first 30 ft from the catch basin within 101512th Ave N.
Response: Channel capacity calculations have been added to the drawing. In our opinion the 20 ft spacing
of the check dams will adequately slow the flow of water. Adding more check dams would reduce the
capacity of the channel.
Comment 2: Please show the newly constructed single family home within 932 Olympic Avenue on the
plans.
Response: The new home at 932 Olympic Ave has been added to the drawing.
Comment 3: Please provide contour lines for the full length of the proposed stormwater improvements.
Response: The channel is to be field located along a path that will not have sharp turns generally
following the fall line of the slope. The details in the drawing instruct the contractor how to construct the
improvements. In the interest of time, a current survey is not being completed.
We trust these responses and associated drawing revisions will address all the noted comments
satisfactorily. Please let us know of any questions which may arise during your review.
