CDtSJV Per Edmonds Community Development Code 18.40.020 (Prohibited Rockeries), it states that no rockery shall be placed against fill where the rockery exceeds three feet in height. Per the plans, it appears that the rockery is 4' in height. The revision to the rockery detail implies that the fill has been reduced from the first submittal; however, the elevations provided show 3' of fill being added on top of the sewer main. The City w will approve no more than 1' _ f ,L„ The rockery detail needs to be drawn to scale. For example the 45 degree line from the bottom of pipe is not accurately shown and appears to be into the reinforced area behind the wall. In the rockery detail, it shows the approx. width of the pipe; however the 45 degree line should eo_.' be shown from the excavation trench of the sewer main. 5) Any rockery locations and plans must be reviewed and approved by the Geotech of record, per the Memorandum dated October, 2, 2017 from Nelson Geotechnical Associates, Inc. Please let me know if you have any questions. It appears that reinforcement for the rockery will be located within the easement. 2) The proposed rockery locations do not allow for repairs to be completed on the City Sewer main. At some locations the sewer is 7' deep. With or without the fill, during any repairs to the sewer main the rockery would have no support behina it. Please revise the plans accordingly. Once the above changes have been made, engineering will complete their review. _T"m;,{ w L"fit r
