RESPONSE TO PLAN REVIEW LETTER.docx08/28/2018 REPSONSE TO WC3 PROJECT #218-EDM-006 PLAN REVIEW 08/24/2018 PER FIRE COMMENTS F1 THROUGH F10 Attention: Brandon Thueson F1: Our design is in TYCO SprinkCAD. The Hydraulic nodes for the riser are there in Plan View on Submittal Plans. F2: Advanced Fire preformed the Fire Flow Test at 8 in the morning on a Monday during Peak Demand time. We feel with the required cushion in the Hydraulic Calculations that the Fire Flow Test used is conservative. F3: This design is per NFPA 13 not NFPA 13 R. We are allowed to use required end head pressure on residential sprinklers and can calculate actual square footage coverage of each head per NFPA 13. The residential sprinklers used are Globe Concealed 4906 Sprinklers. A 7 PSI end head pressure is required for 12’ spacing up to 16’ spacing and a 12 PSI end head pressure for 18’ spacing. See attached Globe Sprinkler Data. F4: Standpipes are Class 1. F5: CPVC pipe runs concealed in 12” I-Joist space between floors and at roof joist. Pipe is supported in holes drilled in joist with the combination of Tolco Figure #28 Hangar & Restraint. See Fig 28 attached. F6: See attached Trash Chute Heads. Heads are provided in design at each level for trash chute. Heads are required at top and bottom and every other floor. We will verify with Trash Chute supplier actual head locations. F7: System will be tested to a 60 second trip time witnessed by local Fire Marshall. F8: Compliance to all the requirements of F8 will be accomplished through General Contractor and Advanced Fire. F9: Cards will be installed on each riser. F10: Same as F9. Thank you Respectfully, Nick Adskim, Advanced Fire.
