Re: Fence pen -nit BLD20090461
Dcar. ,Mr. Scott,
The City of Edmonds Engineering Division has cornnpleted their inspection of the fence located at.
15709 70"' Ave W. It has been determined upon final inspection that the modifications to the
fence panels have not satisfactorily addressed the sight distance hazard.
The Edmonds Community Development Code Section 17.30.010 C states "No fence or other
obstruction may be constructed or maintained if it creates a hazard to users of the street or nearby
property". As the fence construction docs not meet these code requirements, a revised plan must
be submitted to the City of Edmonds Development Services Department for review showing how
modifications will be made to eliminate the hazard.
The other option available is to move the fence so it falls outside the parameters by which the
City regulates fence construction. The Handout 41331 states "A fence permit is required for
fences which are greater than aft in height, measured from finished grade, which are also within
I Elft of any street right-of-way or access easement or within 30ft of a corner."
Please contact me with any questions.
Thank you
