.1) Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) 20.20 - Home
Occupation criteria. 2) ECDC20.110.030 – Nuisance. 3) ECDC 17.70.030 – Temporary Structures
Description of Violation:
1) Possible auto repair business. 2) Nuisance – Junk vehicles, dilapidated
plastic tent, nuisance items stored outside. 3) Accessory buildings over 120 square feet with no building
permit or temporary building permit.
Corrective Action Required: (As per letter dated June 14, 2006) 1) Please remove or enclose in a
legal building (garage) all “junk vehicles” (please see definition above). Please note that a tarp or
plastic building over 120 square feet is not considered enclosed. Please note that City Parking
Enforcement enforces regulations on the right-of-way and determines the method and time
required for compliance. Vehicles stored in the right of way longer than 72 hours or unlicensed
vehicles may also receive a ticket or be towed immediately. 2) Please remove all nuisance items
including vehicle parts as described in ECDC 20.110.030. 3) If the resident is interested in
running a commercial business (vehicle repair) at that location, they must make a full application
for a City of Edmonds business license and home occupation permit. Otherwise, without a home
occupation permit, no vehicle repairs should be made on vehicles unregistered to the subject
property. 4) Please remove any pliable plastic accessory structures that are over 120 square feet.
5) Please contact Snohomish County Solid Waste for proper disposal of any vehicles wastes and
for removal of any waste dumping on the site.
Correction is Required no later than: July 10, 2006:
If correction is not made by the date and time specified in the Order, a Notice of
Civil Violation shall be issued. The Notice of Civil Violation shall assess fines of
$100.00 per day, or portion of a day, during which the violation continues.
