SKMBT_C45008082016120.pdf10718104 0] August 20, 2008 TO: Kevin Harrington, Shamrock Constructors FROM: Steve Fisher, City of Edmonds Public Works, 425-771-0235 RE: Plan review for proposed trash enclosure and truck accessibility #2008-0524 Shamrock Constructors, Inc., 220 W. Dayton St. The proposed enclosure for ongoing trash collection satisfies the minimum requirements for size and materials. The location and orientation of the enclosure on the plan also is workable but dictates that collection trucks hack onto the property to service since they are not allowed to back out onto Dayton Street. The overlying issue centers on the safe access and maneuverability for trucks since the backing would start at the train crossing at Dayton St. and keep the trucks in close proximity to the track itself. One solution could be a turn -around area situated south past the proposed new building or the property may just be subject to limited service in order to decrease number of overall truck visits. Let me know if you have any further comments.
