RE: Plan review for proposed trash enclosure
#2008-0635 Anderson Office Building, 624 Edmonds Way
The location for the proposed trash enclosure is suitable but dictates that the service
vehicles will have to back into the property fi-orn, Edmonds Way and back up all the way
to the enclosure.
With this scenario, all collection containers will need to be rolled out and up to the front
of the trucks for servicing and returned to the enclosure. In this case the narrow gate
section proposed is seen as an impediment to efficient movement of any containers
larger than the standard plastic carts. This was from comments made by the Allied Waste
operations manager.
The gated section needs to be widened to I F clear opening. That would still allow a
pass-through of Yfor building tenants — the small wall separation is not necessary. The
bollard at the south end needs to be relocated to allow the south gate section to swing
toward 180 degrees so to allow passage of rolling containers.
