SKMBT_C45011112812310.pdfNovember 28, 2011 TO: Jeff Pirorini, email jtp37@comcast.net FROM: Steve Fisher, City of Edmonds Public Works, 425-771-0235 RE: Plan review for trash enclosure requirement 20110943 — Trimark—Westgate LLC, 22816 Edmonds Way, Edmonds The extent of modification of this residential facility prompts requirement of an accessible and expanded area (screened enclosure) for collection of garbage and recycling. The footprint for this structure will be minimum 20' wide and 12' deep, with gates that provide a minimum 18' clear when in the open position. Fortunately this property provides such an area to locate the enclosure — at the southwest comer of the front parking area, adjacent to the former fenced garbage area, already indicated as 21' on the submitted site plan. This area is ideal for the enclosure and direct approach service of the waste hauler's collection trucks. The size of the enclosure offers the best and most efficient service for the needs of this facility. The structure is to be of solid construction. Gates have the option of being chain-link with inverted slats and with the depth of this space there is also the option of designing offset gate sections for ease of tenant/custodial use. The enclosure design standards can be found online at our new city website www.ediiiondswa.gov. Look for Engineering Handout #E- 37. Please let me know if you have any questions.
