Re: Review of Short Plat submittal

Thank you for your recent resubmittal of the short plat design. My purpose in writing this
message is twofold. First, we want you to be aware of the options you have in the
sequencing of your site improvements for the short plat and the single family residence.
As you know, the City cannot issue the building permit for the residence until the short
plat is recorded with Snohomish County. Normally, all required short plat site
improvements are completed prior to final recording of the short plat, and then more site
improvements are constructed specific to the new residence. However, if you wish to
construct all of the site work at one time, the City would consider accepting a performance
bond for the short plat requirements, which would allow you to defer the site work until
after the short plat is recorded. The city could then issue the building permit, at which time
the site work could commence. Please let us know which of these options you plan to
take.
Secondly, the city is pleased with the progress currently being made on the design and
application for the short plat and residence. We ask that you would continue this progress
by responding within 30 days to the attached comments from the Engineering and
Planning Divisions. Feel free to contact us if there are any questions.
