Subject: Tree Cutting Along Shellabarger Creek: Case: ff COD -2008-0038
Dear Mr. Sperbeck:
GARY HAAKENSON
MAYOR
Four weeks has passed since the City of Edmonds met with you and your neighbors on September 17,
2008 at 515 Homeland Drive regarding the tree cutting along Shellabarger. At that time, you had
indicated that you were taking lead in getting the critical area study and mitigation report prepared so we
can begin to resolve this matter. I have called and left messages on your cell phone and have not heard
from you since the meeting on September 17, 2008.
The letter that was sent out on September 12, 2008 notifying property owners of the violation, and that
was cc'd to you, requested that a critical area report be submitted to the City of Edmonds by September
26, 2008. The City has yet to receive a critical area report and mitigation plan.
Please submit a critical area report and mitigation plan to the City of Edmonds by October 31, 2008. If
you are unable to have the report completed by this date, contact the City and we will work with you to
ensure progress is being made towards resolving this matter. It is your responsibility to keep the City
informed on what is being done to remedy the situation. If the City has not received a critical area report
by October 31, 2008 or you have not contacted the City by this date, an Order to Correct the Violation
will be issued.
We look forward to hearing from you and resolving this matter. Feel free to contact me if you have any
questions, 360-771-0220.
i cerely,
