FIRE SUPPRESSION COMMENTS
Sheet FP1: First Floor Plan View
1.At approximately gridline 4.5/B.7, there is a sprinkler head shown on top of a wall.
Make corrections and resubmit.
2.The hydraulic information indicates that the flow test was measured in 1991. A current
flow test should be conducted to confirm that the submitted data is still valid and
reliable. Sixteen years can cause a lot of changes to a water supply. NFPA 13,
15.2.1.2
Sheet FP2: Second Floor Plan View
3.At approximately gridline 1/E.1, there is what appears to be a shaft. This does not
show up on the reflected ceiling plans. Please clarify what is going on in this area.
Sheet FP5: 3-D ISO of Piping
4.The sway bracing detail showing an attachment to a truss shows that it is attached to
the lower chord of the truss but the notes say it is to the top chord. Please clarify this
on the plans so that the installer will do it correctly. Any sway bracing attached to a
truss and which exerts a lateral force against the truss should be attached to the top
chord.
Additional corrections may be required following receipt of corrections and additional
information as requested.
Your plans are being reviewed concurrently with the Building Department, Fire
Department, Zoning Department and Public Works Engineering. Changes, clarifications or
additional corrections may be required subsequent to the Building Department plan review
when comments are received from the other concerned departments.
