Dear Applicants: Thank you for submitting an application for a Conditional Use Permit (CU) for an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) at 17717 Talbot Road in the Single-Family Residential (RS-20) zone. 1. Decision: I have reviewed your proposal with compliance with the code and my staff decision is attached. Please note that there are several required conditions of approval. Please read through the report and contact me if you have any questions about the decision or about the next steps you must take in order to finalize this land use approval. 2. Building Compliance Permit: One of the conditions is that you follow through with an application for a building “compliance permit” (BLD-2009-0383) – please contact a Permit Coordinator (Marie Harrison) at 425.771.0220 if you have any questions about this required process. As stated in the conditions of approval, you do not have approval for an ADU until the building compliance permit process is completed. 3. ADU Covenant: As required, a signed and notarized covenant must be recorded at the County Auditor’s Office (“ADU Covenant” – sample shown in Attachment 8 of the staff report). I’m enclosing a legal-sized copy of the ADU Covenant for you both to sign before a notary public. Please see condition #5 of the decision and decide how you would like to proceed (either I can record the signed covenant for you for a small administrative fee, or you can take it up to get it recorded and return a copy to me).
