Thanks for your call. The remodel scope is as follows:
Adding rated Won doors to open up common areas to the corridors on all (3) floors.
Adding vertical ventilation shafts that will remove existing resident unit stacking closets so that corridor
ventilation can be achieved. The goal is to not violate the ANSI 117.1 requirements for the resident units but to
also not renovate the unit (much of which would not meet current standards) in its entirety if we remove a
closet while maintaining required ANSI door clearances.
Allow existing Occupancy classification of building from 1975 of type ‘H’ to be considered to be equivalent to
type I-1 and that residents, including those requiring memory care, have the ability for self-preservation and no
further building modifications need to be made.
Revision of entry drive per site plan.
Revised light fixtures that will match existing j-box locations.
