Supplementary Report:
As requested, an ESNW representative was onsite to observe earthwork activities and collect compaction tests on
sewer backfill located in Sunset Ave N.
Upon arrival, the contractor was in the process of removing the cold pack above the previously backfilled sewer line
running parallel to Sunset Ave N. ESNW observed the native silty sand and plt run backfill to be stable and
unyielding. The contractor used a larger drum roller to compact the backfill prior to asphalt placement. Compaction
tests on the backfill at the subgrade elevation indicated adequate compaction of at least 95% of the material's
maximum dry density at the locations tested. Please see drawing below for approximate test locations.
