During review of the subject submittal it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed:
1.Infiltration testing needs to be done in the field, at the

appropriate depth and the location of the rain garden and infiltration
facility, before the civil plans will be approved.
The infiltration testing
should be done by a qualified Geotechnical Engineer or PE. An infiltration
test report should be completed with the appropriate information to include;
the location of any tests, testing procedures used, and infiltration rates. The
infiltration site for this development would likely require multiple test
locations. I have attached a handout of one acceptable testing and sizing
method. We also accept the 1992 DOE Stormwater manual methods as well.
10/24/2007 First comment not addressed Response Letter States:
The
information has been forwarded to the project geotechnical engineer. The
geotechnical engineer has contacted me about requirements of the infiltration
design. It is my understanding the infiltration testing has been scheduled and
will meet the citys requirements.
Infiltration rates will be needed to complete the hydraulic calculations.
Please resubmit three copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development
Services Coordinator. You may contact me at 425-771-0220 if you have specific
questions regarding these plan corrections.
