Taki Tiki 518 Main St FLAME TEST.doc MEMORANDUM Date:July 28, 2006 File To: From:FM Westfall Subject:Taki Tiki 518 Main Street Decorative Flame Test On this date, I witnessed two field application tests for decorative materials used as wall hangings inside the assembly area of Taki Tiki saloon. NFPA 701 test method 1 applies to “textile wall hangings” and “vertical (folding) shades”. The field application of the laboratory test consisted of a 10 second application of an open flame on a test sample of the material. When the flame is removed, the material self-extinguishes within 2 seconds. The first test was conducted on palm fronds that will be attached to a point on an interior wall and will be hanging horizontally to simulate a palm tree. The materials are actual organic palm fronds. The sample passed the application test and is accepted by fire department. The second test was conducted on palm frond that are thatched and arranged as decorative arrangement mounted vertically on the interior wall. The materials are actual organic palm fronds. The sample passed the application test and is accepted by fire department. John Westfall Edmonds Fire Department City of Edmonds Fire Marshal  
