During review of the subject submittal it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications will need to be addressed:
Theimpervioussurfacecalculationsprovidedinthemostrecentsubmittaldonotreflecttheintentof
code.Thereisno"credit"forremovalofexistingimpervioussurface,whennodrainagedesign
existsfromwhichtotakeacreditagainst.Theonlyexemptionisforimpervioussurfaceexisting
priortoJuly,1977replacedwithinthesamefootprintona*typefortype*andmaterialbasis.For
example,thehouseremodelthatisreplacedwithintheoriginalroofoutlineisnotcountedasnew,
however*all*ofthenewroofoutlinethatexistsoutsideoftheoriginaloutlingisconsiderednew
impervioussurface,regardlessofwhethertherewasadriveway,patio,orotherwiseexisting
hardscapeinthesameareapreviously.Similarreasoningexistsforlandings,decks,andother
imperviousitemsthatarebuilt/extendedoutsideoftheirrespectivefootprints.Additionally,Blaine
Chesterfield,theStormwaterProgramManageralsoadvisesthatdrivewayreplacements,tothe
degreethattheyexceedincidentalrepairsoroverlays,arealsoconsiderednewimpervious
surfaces.
Pleaseresubmityourimpervioussurfacecalculationsaswellasadrainageplan,shouldnew
impervioussurfaceexceed2,000squarefeet.
