MILKEY BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION, LOCATED AT 617 VIEW PL.
Dear Mr. Milkey:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division, and it was found
that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before review
can continue:
Height:
1. Please indicate whether the height and/or pitch of the roof will be altered in any way
with the proposed work. Based on the work description, it appears that the height of the new
roof will be slightly higher than the existing roof due to the additional layers of insulation and
roofing materials.
If the replacement roof will be at all higher than the existing roof, height calculations will need
to be provided in order to ensure that the new roof will not cause the residence to exceed the
maximum allowed height of 25 feet for the RS-6 zone. Please refer to Handout #B41 (attached)
for information on height calculation requirements. As part of the height calculations, please
indicate the location and elevation of the datum point, location of the height rectangle and
elevations of all four corners of the rectangle on your site plan. Additionally, please indicate
the average grade, maximum allowed height, and proposed height on your site plan and your
building elevations.
All submittals should be made to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through
Friday, between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at (425)
