The new residence will include the following new impervious surfaces: House and Garage .................... 3,950 sf Driveway, walk and patio ............ 1,450 sf Total = 5,400 sf Due to the fact the proposed impervious surface is greater than 5,000 sf, located in a stream basin (Northstream) and the site is less than 1.0 acres (0.300 ac.) the proposed development will need to collect, detain and match the release rates for the 2 -year, 10 - year, and 100 -year design storms (matching the release rates for the pre -developed conditions- forested). The applicant has decided to install a cast -in-place detention vault in place of the standard pipe/tank system. Attached are calculations and schematic design of the vault. The proposed vault will provide 581 cf 2' x 8'x 3.3`) of active (live) storage and an additional 264 cf (22'x 8'x 1.5'} o �erment (dead) storage.
