As requested by the client, ESNW was onsito to observe backtilfing of utility trench onsite. While
was observed;

ESNW rep. was onsite to observed the contractor backfilling a utility trench that extended into the eastern lane of
72nd Avenue West. Imported 518 minus crushed rock was used to backfill. Contractor had placed some backfill prior
to ESNW reps arrival due to an exposed gas utility line. ESNW rep. took compaction tests within the road right of
way as directed by the client. ESNW rep. observed the contractor placing 12 inch loose thickness lifts of 518 minus
crushed rock within the right of way. The contractor used a jumping jack to compact the lifts of backfill. ESNW rep.
observed dense backfill within the tested areas. The compaction tests reported above show adequate compaction of
95 percent or higher within the tested areas.
