Overview
This Arborist report is an assessment of a Western hemlock and Douglas fir in the Right -Of -
Way at the above address.
Timeline — 5 years
Risk Assessment
The assessment uses a standard for Tree Risk Assessment established by the International
Society of Arboriculture. It includes visual inspection of the root zone, root crown, trunk,
scaffold branches, twigs, foliage, and overall canopy health and vigor. The evaluation is based
on the ISA basic tree risk assessment forms. (see attached)
Observations
= Western hemlock (20" DBH) it is approximately 60' tall and has a dripline of about 25'. This
tree has included bark in the co -dominate stem and appears to be damaging the driveway.
this tree also has a moderate risk of failure due to co -dominate stems.
= Douglas fir (24" DBH) and is approximately 70' tall and has a dripline of about 30'. This tree
appears healthy and has a low risk of failure.
Mitigation options
= Remove western hemlock and grind stump.
= Prune Douglas fir, raise some low limbs, remove dead and lightly thin canopy.
* DBH is Diameter at Breast Height, or 4.5 feet above grade. This is the U.S. standard for
measuring tree size.
