The Fire Department has reviewed this project under the 2006 IFC, the current ECDC
and has the following comments:
1) Due to the type of construction of the town homes there will be 17 separate 13D
fire sprinkler systems installed in the complex. This will be acceptable. This is
a deferred submittal.
The size of water meters should be no smaller than one inch and the
combination domestic fire line should be no smaller than 1.5 inches to each of the
units
2) The required fire hydrant needs to be as close as possible to the access road to
the complex (move farther South).
3) Attached to the email will be the standards for fire lane stripping for your site.
This can be a deferred submittal.
4) Portable fire extinguishers are required to the units and will be called out for
number and location prior to final.
