2020-0051 Mazda Service Center Plumbing Page 1 of 1 DATE: February 4, 2020 TO: State Mechanical SteveC@Statemech.net FROM: Eric Carter, Building Inspector RE: Plan Check: BLD2020-0051 Project: Mazda Service Center Plumbing Project Address: 22414 HWY 99, Edmonds. During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information, clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator in the Development Services Department. Note that new comments or additions to previous comments are noted in italics. General: 1. The approved building plans (2019-1212) indicates the occupancy group of S1 with an occupant load of 49. In accordance with IBC 2902.5.1, a drinking fountain will be required. The proposed fountain will be required to meet the requirements of ICC A117.1-2009. Please indicate the location, A117.1 installation requirements and piping on the plans. A2.1: 2. An oil storage and coolant area have been indicated on the plans. It is understood that these areas will have canopy roof but will still be exposed to the weather. In accordance with UPC 1017.1 a floor drain will connected to appropriate interceptor will be required for these areas. Please indicate the location, size of piping and routing of proposed piping on the plans. P1.0: 3. The proposed strip drain is draining to an oil/sand separator located outside the building. Page C 3.00-2 (2019-0887) of the approved civil plans indicate the interceptor will be sized by the plumbing contractor but a design or sizing do not appear to have been included. Please clarify and include details if to be included in scope of work. 4. The approved civil plans indicate a car wash area adjacent to the building. The proposed plumbing plans do not appear to indicate any water supply being installed. Please clarify and indicate on the plans.
