The doors have been designated on the plans and in the door schedule as requiring safety glazing. See sheet A2. 11.
3. Sideliaht alass at slider second floor should be safetv alass on the fixed Danel side of the slider oniv.
FY/ / think you have this reversed: the exception excludes Window (2) on the fixed panel of the slider from
consideration as a hazardous location. Regardless, per code the operable side sidelight should be safety glazing;
both Window (2)s have been designated to maintain consistency in visual transmittance between them. See sheet
A2. 11,
4. New range in new location on plans. Please indicate the CFIVI of the exhaust fan and note that it is vented to
the outside. Also include any makeup air as required.

1. Sheet A1.01 states a new deck and remodeled bay and upper deck. Sheet A-1.02 stated proposed deck
consistent.
Notes on A1.01 have been updated to make them consistent with A1.02. See sheetAl.01.
2. Please show the location of the side sewer. If the new addition is to be placed over the sewer, a cleanout
will need to be added or shown that there is an existing cleanout within 2' of the structure. Any
modifications to the sewer will require a side sewer permit (Side Sewer Permit Application form) and will
need to be inspected by the City of Edmonds.
The approximate location of the existing side sewer has been added to the site plan. All work is being performed on
the opposite side of the house; no modifications to the side sewer should be required. See sheet A1.01.
3. Show all City easements. There appears to be a City Storm main line and utility easements along the east
side of the property. Please show all easements, AFN's, and utilities located on the subject site.
City easements & their numbers have been added & noted on the site plan. The citl storm easement has been drawn
to match the drawing in the easement document; the city GIS seems less accurate. See sheet A 1. 0 1.
4. If there are any private easements, please show all information within the plan sets. Note AFN's for existing
easements and/or recording documents for proposed easements as applicable.
No other easements were discovered.

S2.0 7. Plans show foundation to be matched to existing using epoxy and dowels.
Please indicate how many dowels at each tie in point.
r-oundafuon pJan note(11) caffls for dowels -to " marchhonz. reintorcing'. As Yhe
existing horizontal reinforcement detailing is not known the number of dowels
cannot be specified. However matching the existing horizontal reinforcement
both in location and number of bars is a sufficient tie in for the existing footing to
new footing.
